ScandiFuel, a Norway-based company, offers a smart fuel management solution. Their app allows users to easily locate fuel stations, access real-time pricing, and make fuel payments on the go. ScandiFuel also connects drivers with a network of convenient car services, making vehicle ownership simpler.

Problem

ScandiFuel’s existing app felt outdated, with a complex interface that left users frustrated and disengaged. The navigation was confusing, making it difficult for users to locate essential features, especially when in a hurry. ScandiFuel's goal was not just a redesign but an experience that would boost user engagement with a more accessible, interactive interface.

Actions Taken

To address these issues, we implemented a structured, user-centric approach

Revamping Navigation:

We prioritized essential features, placing them front and center, and organized secondary features to keep the interface uncluttered.

Design Overhaul

The app was visually refreshed with a modern, user-friendly aesthetic that retained familiar elements, ensuring existing users still recognized the product.

Simplified Data Entry

Understanding that users often update data on the go, we redesigned input processes, reducing data entry from 8 clicks to 2-3 clicks. Larger interface elements enabled easy interaction while in motion.

New Features

In addition to fuel services, we incorporated options for electric vehicle charging and car washes, allowing users to check availability in real time.

Results

The improved app increased user engagement by simplifying access to core features and creating an active community. With intuitive navigation and point-based rewards, users experienced real value, leading to a significant boost in retention and activity.
